Setting the Stage for 2014

I know it's been a VERY long time since I posted on this blog. Honestly, that has a lot to do with the lack of dog events in my life. This November I finally kicked myself back into gear. I got some things sorted out, and hopefully we'll be staying pretty steady with our events from here on out!

This coming year, 2013. We're shooting for AKC Nationals. Seriously this time! They're going to be on the east coast after-all, how could I possibly say no to that?

The first half of 2013 will be a "test run." In order to still keep up some weekend hours at my kennel job I'm going to try to just do 1 day trials. There will hopefully be a few weekends that are exceptions where I'll be able to compare how we do on single days vs multiple days.

I'll be keeping up with training skills in the back yard, while going to "Open Gym" and Fun Runs when I can to work on the longer courses and distractions in an environment where I can reward in the ring.

If we need to adjust the plan along the way, so be it! If it's working out well, we'll keep it up in the fall :)

So that's 23 Qs, 9 titles, and two level completed. Way to go Lilly-girl, Knight-man, and Mia!!
